Junior Graphic Designer

We are a content design studio, based in London, who are a trusted partner to some of the biggest global brands, including Calm, Pinterest, Workday and hundreds of other brands across every vertical. We have a reputation for creative thinking and brilliant execution, and are looking for a creatively driven junior designer to join our busy studio.

3 days WFH / 2 days (fixed) in the London studio.

The role:

A Junior Designer at OLS will utilise their talented and developing design skills in order to create compelling creative content. They will work under strong guidance from the Creative Director, Creative Leads and Senior Designers, creating work to a high standard. They will strive to learn as much as possible from all members of the studio in order to ensure their development within the team, and will work diligently to familiarise and master all aspects of studio workflow and process.

They will have good interpersonal capabilities, time management skills and the ability to collaborate with all members of the studio. A Junior Designer will continually strive to improve their skills, staying abreast of the latest technological and industry innovations.

  • Work collaboratively with the Creative Director and Creative Lead’s across multiple international clients and projects.
  • Develop great creative from provided concepts, taking constructive feedback and guidance from the studio team.
  • Execute projects from concept to completion under strong guidance from the senior studio team.
  • Strive for consistent delivery of high quality work.
  • Apply critical thinking and develop work continuously to drive creative excellence.
  • Responsible for following trends and knowing all the new tools available on the platforms to make exciting, eye-catching content.
  • Maintain good communication with the full studio team. 
  • Apply high levels of attention to detail.
  • Comfortable following strict brand and campaign guidelines to produce fresh, engaging content. 
  • Always display a passionate and positive attitude. 
  • Develop core skills of working diligently and methodically.
  • Assist in the creation of company marketing and promotional collateral, when required.
  • Uphold company best practices in all aspects of workflow and process. 
  • Champion company principles and values.

The studio:

Embracing the hybrid working model, we have an amazing office space in the heart of London to allow the team to collaborate face to face, forge friendships and train, whilst supporting a work/life balance with set days working from home too.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience working in-house or at an agency, however we would also welcome any recent graduates with great work experience to apply.
  • A portfolio with commentary that showcases your creativity, conceptual thinking and ability to make beautiful, engaging content for brands.
  • Great foundational skills in Photoshop and After Effects. Figma knowledge would be advantageous.
  • An amazing can-do attitude, a friendly sociable personality, and a desire to learn and up-skill from those around you.
  • Able to work to deadlines, and manage multiple projects occasionally, whilst keeping a cool head and good communication.
